Storybook illustration style on procreate

Hi everyone and welcome to my new class on how I create sweet storybook style illustrations using photo editing techniques.

This tutorial is broken down into 5 bitesize vids for easier understanding.

I have provided the brushes used in this class you can find them in the resources section, as with all my classes we will need a pressure sensitive pen, iPad and procreate app for this class, although these methods in this particular class are transferable to other digital art platforms.

in this class I will take you through my process in how I edit and blend to produce beautiful illustrations from any reference photos.

we will learn first about sketching out our linework out using tracing technique which is particularly great for beginners of art to become familiar with anatomy .

We will learn how I use the selection tool and how to use my brushes to smudge the photos into believable illustrations.

finally how I make them pop using paint splatters and carefully placed pen strokes.

this class is suitable for everyone and is a really fun way to quickly produce great edits that perfectly resemble charming illustrations :)
