Black and white into colour process

Hi everyone and welcome to my new skillshare class on how I turn my greyscale drawings into full colour.

This is a super powerful method to have up your sleeve for a few reasons. When you paint straight in colour you can really get lost almost colour blind to what your doing and really neglect your values. Values are the most important thing artists can use to add depth and contrast to your paintings with my method you can take a lot of the stress away and always have high contrast deep illustrations.  I see so many artists beginner or experienced that still shy away from shading it is a daunting thing to tackle, we can overcome all those nerves right at the beginning with this project. Instantly adding lots of depth and life to your illustrations. So no matter what your particular style is it makes no difference to this method as it is universal for all styles. 

I have crated this class due to the number of people PMing me asking how I do it, as with all my classes we will need a pressure sensitive pen, iPad and procreate app for this class, although these methods in this particular class are transferable to other digital art platforms. 

in this class I will take you through my process in how easily add colour to black n white pictures using different blend modes. 

we will learn step by step how I build up colour which goes right over our already in place shadows.

This class is suitable for all, as it’s not just beginners who struggle and lost depth when it comes to adding colour.
